Anava (“ענבה”) is Hebrew’s poetic word for a grape and its related berries. It is the source of our wine, and a powerful symbol of joy. of growth, and of hope for what may come.
Anava can also be spelled “ענווה”, which means humility.
In this way, our name serves as a constant reminder of deference to the land below and the skies above.
Despite our most noble efforts, our final bounty is always in nature’s hands.

It’s always been our dream to work in nature, using our hands to build, cultivate, nourish, and grow.
So after years in the high-tech and finance industries, we realized there was never a time like the present. Nadav began studying agronomy and winemaking, and Moriah began exploring new communities in Israel. Nechusha proved to be the perfect place to relocate our family. Here we began building vineyards, became active members of the community, and started inviting soldiers, scouts, and volunteers to get their hands dirty in the area’s rich soil.
We traded our spreadsheets for sprinklers. Our graphs for grapes.
And we haven’t looked back.
Anava is our family’s story, our passion for wine and nature.
We can’t wait to learn about yours.

Your parcel is in the ideal wine growing region, within a few kilometers of the idyllic Moshav Nechusha between Beit Shemesh and Kiryat Gat. The area has been formally recognized as the Judea appellation.
Each ½ dunam parcel yields up to 300 bottles depending on the harvest.
Yes! It’s your vineyard to visit, touch, smell, photograph and invite your friends. Please tell us a couple of days ahead of time so we can be sure to have one of our team members available to meet you.
You can transfer your ownership to a descendent at any time. You can also sell your vineyard to someone after they’ve met Anava’s approval criteria. More detail is available in the contract.
Kashrut supervision is provided by the Rabbanut with the option for additional supervision for a fee.
Anava offers a fully managed vineyard. We charge an annual fee for our services based on the size of your parcel.
Our smallest parcel is ½ a dunam (approximately 150 vines). If available, owners can combine several parcels.
The combination of our expert team, the ideal geography and our experience with local vineyards should yield fantastic wine.
And to top it off, you’ll be drinking your wine from your own vineyard after having seen it planted, grow and harvested. Your personal connection will be reflected in the taste.
Part of living the vineyard experience is being susceptible to nature including excessive heat or drought. Fortunately Israel is a world leader in water recycling technology. We’ll be updating you with rainfall and temperature details every month and we’ll supplement water shortages with our own irrigation.
We’ll ship your bottles to an address in Israel.
We work with shipping companies that can facilitate export to your country at an additional fee.
Yes, we have met with a few storage companies and can make recommendations where to store your bottles. Doing so is an additional fee.
Our vines are grown with a focus on sustainability and pesticides are only used when the plant or grapes are at risk.
Each owner will have access to our designer to personally craft your original label. The design process is included in the fee.
Anava carries specialized agriculture insurance covering damages.
